This 2 day course is designed to provide the student with a fundamental understanding of all the sections of the DAMA Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK). The course does not negate the CDMP Preparation workshop and it has been designed to help students to work through the DMBoK in a class room environment. The instructor will introduce the different sections and be able to answer relevant questions relating to the DMBoK

Course Description

The course systematically works through all the Knowledge Areas of the DAMA DMBoK version 1 and the changes in Version 2. The focus is on how to use the book.

For each Knowledge area, the major focus is on the understanding of the data management function framework according to:

1. Goals & Principles
2. Organization & Culture
3. Activities
4. Deliverables
5. Roles & Responsibilities
6. Practices & Techniques
7. Technology

Pre-requisites:
An interest in the Data Management environment
